Scheduled to open Fall of 2012, the 125 year old Loyalty Building in Downtown Milwaukee will be transformed into a Hilton Garden Inn managed by First Hospitality Group. The Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Milwaukee will work in concert with the banquet and catering facilities located in the neighboring Mackie Building (home to one of the first trading pits in the world) at 611 North Broadway. The 127 room hotel will provide every modern convenience while still retaining the historic 19th century charm the Loyalty Building is known for.
The Loyalty Building was first built in 1886 to serve as headquarters for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. Since then, it has been home to a wide variety of businesses. First Hospitality Group acquired the building in March 2011, and has been renovating in preparation for providing all of the modern amenities expected of a Hilton Garden Inn. Throughout the process historic preservation has been a priority: the hotel will feature many original elements including grand fireplaces, wrought-iron staircases, and even a few hand-painted vault doors from banks which used to call the Loyalty Building home. When all is said and done the Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown will be an absolutely unique, exciting, and enviable place to work.
Hilton Garden Inn is a chain of hotels under the Hilton Worldwide family. The brand is generally considered to be an upscale mid-priced hotel designed for both business and leisure travelers. In 2010, Hilton Garden Inn received the distinguished “Highest Guest Satisfaction Among Mid-Scale Hotel Chains with Full Service” award in the J.D. Power and Associates North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study. This accolade marks the eighth time out of the last nine years Hilton Garden Inn has received the highest ranking in the segment, outranking all other mid-scale full service brands.
